Episode Thirteen:

 

The Belly Button Buddy is in a musical mood. She gargles in tune. She improvises. She encourages her friends to make sounds using household objects like pots, pans, boxes, and tubes of varying lengths. The Belly Button Buddy and her friends perform a fabulous piece for their television audience, ending with cardboard guitar presentations.

Episode 12

Episode Twelve:

 

This show is about exaggerating the size of things. The Belly Button Buddy and her friends use cardboard to make over-sized board games, dice, and puzzles. Then they enjoy playing with their creations.

Episode 11

Episode Eleven:

 

The theme here is dance and body movement. The Belly Button Buddy and her friends warm up their bodies before trying the hula. They have fun being fish, surfers, penguins, frogs, and flowers.

Episode 10

Episode Ten:

 

The theme of this episode is cooking and the Belly Button Buddy and her friends have created a kitchen, complete with appliances, utensils, and food. Too many cooks can make for quite a meal. Someone has put a secret ingredient in the pot. Others seem to have lost their appetite.

Episode 9

Episode Nine:

 

The theme is flying and the Belly Button Buddy is pretending to be a pilot from a past era. When a piece of tissue flies into her face, she lands in order to make a paper airplane. Soon her friends are learning how to make and fly paper airplanes, and this leads to experimenting with balloons.

Episode 8

Episode Eight:

 

Camouflage is the goal, and the Belly Button Buddy has to become a detective to find her friends. One boy has painted his face to match a wall, while others hide inside or behind cardboard props.

Episode Seven

 

The theme here is motion and the Belly Button Buddy and her friends build a ramp, releasing small cars at the top in an effort to knock down a paper cup tower at the bottom. Sports are mimed and a game of table ball is created using straws.

Episode 6

Episode Six:

 

The theme here is toilet paper, and the children use this readily available commodity to make funny faces, build towers, and create great walls. Anticipation is created as towers wobble and walls tilt. The children participate in a celebratory toilet paper toss.

Episode 5

Episode Five:

 

The theme of this episode is tissue paper and the Belly Button Buddy tries to wrap a ball in tissue paper, succeeding only in taping herself to the package. Undaunted, she uses tissue paper to pretend she is a matador, a juggler, a cheerleader, and a rhythmic gymnast. Her friends enjoy it all.

Episode 4

Episode Four:

 

The theme of this episode is shopping, and the children have built a store out of cardboard boxes and stocked it with household items. Through stop-motion the store setup is fast and exhilarating. Suddenly there is a store proprietor, play money, enthusiastic shoppers, and an overfilled grocery cart which leads to a funny incident.

 

Episode 4

If you build it they will come! In this episode of the Belly Button Buddies show the children take their shopping seriously. Episode 3

Episode Three:

 

The Belly Button Buddy and her friends energetically create a carnival setting out of cardboard, complete with a ticket booth, games of chance, and a puppet theatre. One child assumes the role of ticket vendor and the rest of the children form a competitive crowd.

Episode 2

Episode Two:

 

While playing follow the leader, the Belly Button Buddy and her friends discover two unmarked cardboard boxes, which hold a treasure of unusual hats and wigs. Trying on hats leads to role playing, a cardboard box becomes a playhouse, and a tea party is organized.

Episode One:

 

The Belly Button Buddy and her friends explore the possibilities of cardboard boxes. They build a box-fort and use it as cover while throwing and ducking from mesh sponges. They enjoy hiding in, and jumping out of boxes, as well as transforming them into cars for a big race.
